CDCE913 I2C fail

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCE913

Hello,

I have a problem with the CDCE913 clock synthesizer during the I2C access.

After a power on, I send an I2C frame by the I2C bus, all works fine, and the synthesizer is programmed with the good frequency.

But if  I make a second access to program another frequency, the operation fail.

The slave adress is received by the CDCE913 and a NACK is sent in return and of course the transaction is stoped.

If I turn off the CDCE913 power supply, the next  frame will work and the second will fail.

I wonder where is the problem, if you have some tips?

Thank you,

Yann

  • Solved since a long time now.

But, If that can help someone.

The "ti pro clock" software don't fill the adresse register with the default adress of the CDCE913.

You need to change it manualy to fit with the default adress and avoid to write an uncorrect  value in the CDCE913 adress register during the first access.
