CDCM 7005 SPI programming software & data sheet mismatch, clarification Reg

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCM7005

Hi,

I am using the CDCM7005 PLL in my board. And  i am using the CDCM SPI programming software version 1.3 to load the 4words to PLL via SPI interface. In software when i set the Reference Frequency Detection ON the responsible 31st bit in word0 is set to logic1. But in data sheet it is mentioned as logic 0 for on state.Kindly clarify which to follow with at the earliest possible.

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

As per the data sheet it should be zero for normal operation. It should be One where your reference clock is less than 2MHz, since Reference Frequency Detection  circuit will not work when the frequency below 2MHz.
