Hi,

I am using clock generator CDCM6208V2 in my design ... the datasheet mentions external loop filter recommendations only for SPI and Pin mode ... ie at the ELF pin .. what is the external loop filter recommendation for the I2C mode... is there any tool to find the external loop filter components value ? Please clarify ??

    Hi Suresh,

    If you are not using any of the pre-defined I/O configurations (with defined Loop Filter componenet values) in your design, the external loop filter component values can be determined using the CDCM6208 EVM Control GUI tool. There is a button called "Loop Filter" in the GUI which can bring up the loop filter calculator. The calculated values of the loop filter components are not dependent upon the method of configuring the device (I2C/SPI/Pins mode).
