Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK04906, CODELOADER

Hi,

I have a question about LMK04906 Eval Board /2011-12-06 v1.0.

I can't lock PLL1 but PLL2 is locked in codeloarder4 default setup.

I attached dump list of  codeloarder4.

  • Hi Kato,

Would you provide the .mac codeloader configuration file? This is a more user friendly way for us to review your setting.

  • Hi Noel

I attached .mac file of dodeloarder.

    1207.codeloarder_setup_data.zip

Let me know why PLL1 isn't lock.

    Best Regards,

    Kato

  • Hi Kato,

Your configuration is OK, how did you know PLL1 is unlock?

Your LD pin is configured as PLL1+PLL2 DLD, if you see a HIGH on this pin, that means both PLLs are locked. You can change this setting to PLL1 DLD or PLL2 DLD to confirm which PLL is locked. You can also measure the Vtune voltage of the VCXO, it should be around 1.65V. If you see 0V or 3.3V, PLL1 is really unlocked.

Make sure the reference clock is injected to CLKin1, input voltage should be >250mVpp. Also make sure that the freq is accurate enough. The on-board VCXO has a pull range of 20ppm only. If your reference clock freq tolerance is more than 20ppm, the VCXO will not lock.
