Interface Part suggestion for clock signal

Hi,

I've ~2MHz external clock with transition time (Tr/Tf) of ~50nsec. I need to feed this clock signal to controller I/O which is having maximum input transition time of 25ns. Please suggest TI part to interface between external signal & controller.

How about a Schmitt-trigger buffer like SN74LVC1G17 (1.65 to 5.5 V)? Schmitt trigger input allows slower input edges, and high output drive allows fast output edge transition.

Hi Gabe,

Jitter cleaning may not be required. Need to reduce the transition time at the same time there should not be any EMI/EMC issues.

You may check the different schmitt trigger buffer devices in our little logic family for parts with different output driver levels / speed / voltage levels.
