Programming CDCM6208 using I2C

Hi,

I am trying to configure CDCM6208 using the datasheet with number SCAS931D –MAY 2012–REVISED MARCH 2013. But there are no instructions on how to configure CDCM6208 using I2C. Can someone guide me on how to do this?

Please explain the steps involved to configure CDCM6208.

Hi Markel,

I am not using the CDCM6208 evaluation board but in an EVM and I want to communicate with CDCM6208 using I2C. I am successful in probing CDCM6208 using I2C now my goal is to read & write some data into it using I2C.

Please assist me in this.

Hi Pradeep,

To configure the device in I2C mode, follow the configuration shown in the data sheet. Set SI_MODE[1:0] pins to b10. AD0 and AD1 pins set the two LSBs in the device register address. SCL is the I2C clock line and SDA is the I2C data line.

The datasheet shows the correct transaction sequences needed to communicate to the device over I2C.

Please note that the register addresses span over 16 bits. The I2C bus can support speeds up to 400 kHz.
