Hi Team,

I have a basic question about CDCE62002.

Our customer would have a case when there is no REF_IN (Hi-Z) to the device.

I believe this is not a problem, however if there is any restriction could you please tell us those information ?

Hi Kawai,

Your undertanding is correct. If there is no XIN, you could leave the input floating as it is biased internally.

Could you please tell me how the pin is biased internally ?

It seems it depends on the input setting.
I observed the following voltage when REFIN is OPEN.(REF/AUX SEL is set to REFIN)

1.8V for LVDS input setting
1.2V for LVPECL input setting
0V for LVCMOS Setting

I apologize that the input bias circuit was shown in the datasheet. I will recheck if I had a wrong setting.
