CDCE62002 - Difference between /PD pin and /PD bit.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCE62002

Hi Team,

Could you please tell me about the power down control for CDCE62002, /PD pin and /PD bit ?

Is there any difference between these two control method, except for the EEPROM data loading ?

I am asking this because our customer could run the VCO calibration correctly using /PD pin to acquire lock, however, they cannot acquire lock using the /PD bit control method. They have correct setting in CALSELECT=0.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Kawai

  • Hi Kawai-San,

In the case of powering down the device via the /PD bit, I suspect that the registers are getting reset to power on default values and no EEPROM load will happen. The register configuration might not be the desired one once the power down state is removed.
