The usage of AUX_IN of CDCE72010

Hi,

I would like to ask you the usage of "AUX_IN" of CDCE72010.

Sorry, I cannot image the usage and cannot know the merit of the "AUX_IN signal".

Could you tell me, how to use and when to use of this signal? In what kind of situation should we use this?

And what kind of signal should we use for "AUX_IN"...because if we change PLL feedback path to "AUX_IN", how do we adjust the phase with the reference signal?

Hi Takumi-san,

AUX_IN can act as a secondary VCXO input if needed or can act as a PLL feedback signal as an external 0-delay feedback.

Let me understand your explanation as below.

1) 2nd VCXO

Do you mean that customers can change/select 1st or 2nd VCXO at any time, right?

2) 0-delay feedback

In this case, for example, one of 9 output signals (U0-U8) should be inputted to channel 9 (U9), right?

1) if this option is desired, then it is a possible solution but considerations must be made for charge pump connection
