simulation with LMK04826B and external VCO

Hi,

I will use the JESD204B devices in my new design. I wish use the LMK0482X device to construct my clock circuit. The highest frequency is 2211.84MHz, and the input reference clock is 10MHz.

How can I construct the clock design? Do I have to use the external VCO ?

In clock design tool, there is no external VCO option to simulate. What should I do to get the best performance?

Hi Xu,

Have you utilized the Clock Design Tool? () This will allow you to configure the LMK0482x as well as replace the VCXO (or VCO if desired) phase noise to best simulate your system.

I have download the design tool. But there is no external VCO option for LMK0482X devices in the tool. It can surport internal VCO only.

Hi He Xu,

In the VCO box, you can click "Manual KVCO" and ensure the VCO frequency is correct. Then you can also import a custom PN profile for your selected VCO by clicking on the "Enter Custom Phase Noise" button on the Phase Noise Simulation pop-up window.
