Chronos ez430

Hello Ti team,

I have since some days the Chronis eZ430 in mine.

the most functions are correct. Unfortunately I can not store data and download to my computer.

I made the following steps.

Start TI. Data Logger
Set my settings (time date)
log altitude mode
Interval 3 seconds
then set watch

When i sync the clock and click on download. The file is not created and no data will be downloaded.

what am I doing wrong?

Should i set some settings on the watch ?

Please help me

  • Hello Josef,

have you actually recorded data? Please refer to the Chronos user guide, section 3.4.

    1. Make sure that you have written the datalogger project to the watch

    2. Set watch parameters through GUI (optional)

    3. Start data logging

    4. Stop data logging

    5. If there is recorded data, you can download it and a csv file will be generated.

    Kind regards,
    Anton

  • Hello Anton,

how can i record datas witch the clock.

i read the section 3.4 but here is a picture

date -> data logger -> sync -> rfbsl.

i have this functions but the function data logger is not avaible ! why ?

how can i start the clock to record the data. i dont find the data logger modus on the clock

    thank you best regard josef

  • Hello Josef,

if you do not see a menu item "dlog" when stepping through the watch functions, you have most likely loaded the regular project onto the watch ("eZ430_Chronos_868MHz_1_5.txt"). The datalogger hex file name is "eZ430_Chronos_ Datalogger_868MHz_1_5.txt".

    Here's the latest s/w: http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/slac341

    Kind regards,
    Anton

  • Hello Anton,

thank you for the good answer.

The watch is now still working and record the datas :)

    tank you. One question:

Is it possible to record the x,y and z axis ?

and then i record this vaules ?

    best regard

    josef

  • Hello Josef,

the datalogger project does not support recording the acceleration values. The datarate of up to 300B/s would fill the internal memory too quickly to make it really usable (~30 seconds recording time only). I suggest that you look at user projects that allow logging of the acceleration data onto the PC (33 samples / second). Cf. the Wiki under PC/Chronos Communication.

    Kind regards,
    Anton

  • Hi,

Can i ask a simple question.

How do i load either the regular project or datalogger project onto the watch?

    Thanks,

    JC
