CodeLoader 4.15.1 (version 2015-03-24) CHDIV2 not working for LMX2571 simulation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMX2571, CODELOADER

I downloaded CodeLoader 4.15.1 to simulate LMX2571 performance and work with different Ref Osc, N values, dividers and such.  It appears that CHDIV1 and CHDIV2 are not labeled and more importantly CHDIV2 does not allow input or change.  When I roll over the text box for CHDIV2 is has pop-up labeled "this is a test."  Maybe 4.15.1 was not quite finished?

Otherwise it's been a VERY useful tool.

Thanks,

Steve

  • Steve,

For the CodeLoader, 4.15.1 is he main program version but 3-24-2015 is the latest part file version tha has this information and the "this is a test".   version 3-24-2015 still has the "this is a test" message, but has some other minor fixes.

On the output after the VCO, the first control is CHDIV1 and can do 4,5,6,7.  The second box is CHDIV2, which you can either type in a value manually or you can change it also on the Bits/Pins page.   So I am a little confused when you say that you can not changes these boxes.  Also, if you look on the Bits/Pins, tere is CHDV1_F1 and CHDIV_F2 that can be changed here.   The only exception is if you have this in external VCO mode.   You can toggle this with the "Switch Int/Ext VCO" button on the PLL F1 tab.

I'm glad you like codeloader and you might be glad to hear that we are spending a good amount of resources on a new improved CodeLoader that will probably come out in the summer or fall this year.

    Regards,.
