CDCE62002 SPI signal sharing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCE62002

Hi,

I plan to share the SPI interface between 2 CDCE62002s. I'll provide indepentant SPI_LE signals, can you confirm that I can share SPI_CLK, SPI_MOSI and SPI_MISO signals?

After reading https://e2e.ti.com/support/clocks/f/48/t/90542 , I saw that CDCE62002 datasheet still contains reference to an open-drain SPI MISO pin (page 17).

Can you confirm that no pull up is required on SPI_MISO?

Best regards,

MAS

  • SPI_MISO is a LVCMOS / push-pull output driver when SPI_LE is low), but it may be good to have a pull-up to insure a SPI_MISO gets pulled to high-state when the output is in 3-state mode (when SPI_LE is high).  Otherwise, SPI_MISO state may be indeterminate, which may or may not be a concern to your SPI master.

    Regards,
    Alan
