Opt_reg values for LMK04826 LMK04821 LMK04828

We are contemplating that we may use the LMK04821 in place of the LMK04826 or LMK04828 in some applications and have some questions.

 

Section 9.7.9.3 of the datasheet instructs to write the following values to register opt_reg_1 (0x17C):

LMK04826 – 24

LMK04828 – 21

but does not instruct what value must be written to indicate LMK04821.

 

Similarly Section 9.7.9.4 instructs to write the following values to register opt_reg_2 (0x17D):

LMK04826 – 119

LMK04828 – 51

but again fails to instruct what value must be written to indicate LMK04821.

 

Finally, for the read only register id_maskrev (0x006):

LMK04826 is indicated by value 37 in this register

LMK04828 is indicated by value 32 in this register.

Again, no value is indicated for LMK04821.

Can you clarify?

    Thanks for finding these errata. I've contacted design to try to sort out these default parameters for you. Note that ID_MASKREV is a read-only register.

    EDIT: see strike out below
    Here's what design says: for LMK04821, OPT_REG_1 should match that of LMK04826 (set to 24) LMK04828 (set to 21) and OPT_REG_2 should match that of the LMK04828 (set to 51). Finally, ID_MASKREV should be set to 36 for LMK04821.

    We are working in rolling this into the next DS revision.
