CDCLVC1108PWR Drive current per pin

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCLVC1108

Hi

My customer is using CDCLVC1108PWR.
Could you let me know output current per pin which CDCLVC1108 can drive ?

I think that it is 50mA per pin at Continuous output current of Absolute Maximum Ratings.
Is it correct?

Best regards
Shimizu

  • Hi Shimizu-San,

The max continuous current is +/-50mA. This is the absolute maximum steady state current that the device can be operated at. The recommended operating current should be much lower than that. The max recommended static device current without any clock output operating is 10mA @ 3.6V

The max dynamic power/current can be inferred from Figure 1 on Page 7 of the datasheet - At a supply voltage of 3.3V, Output Frequency of 240 MHz and a load capacitance of 8pF, the maximum power consumption is ~40mW per output. This implies that the max dynamic current per output is ~12mA.
