CDCM6208V1F Pin configuratin

Guru 16770 points

Hi,

We have questions about CDCM208V1F.

1. When we configure serial mode, how to configure STATUS0 pin and STATUS1 pin?

2. When is the clock single-end (LVCMOS), is it OK PRI_REFN to GND, VDD_PRI_REF to VDD?

3. We suppose to use primary input only.    What is the recommended configuration for secondary input pin?

4. We don't make analog power but suppling power from digital source via filter.    Are there any expected problems?

Regards,

  • Hi,

    1. When we configure serial mode, how to configure STATUS0 pin and STATUS1 pin?

See Page 10, Page 42 of the datasheet: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/cdcm6208.pdf

    2. When is the clock single-end (LVCMOS), is it OK PRI_REFN to GND, VDD_PRI_REF to VDD?

For single ended mode of operation, please follow the recommendations of Page 78, Figure 67: Schematic Page 2 for configuring the inputs. Connect VDD_PRI_REF=VDD_SEC_REF to VDD. If Secondary input buffer is disabled (Register 4 Bit 5 = 0), it is possible to connect VDD_SEC_REF to GND.

    3. We suppose to use primary input only.    What is the recommended configuration for secondary input pin?

    See above.

    4. We don't make analog power but suppling power from digital source via filter.    Are there any expected problems?

Please isolate the supply to the analog pins from the digital supplies by a ferrite bead in series and a 2.2uF (or greater) capacitor to ground.
