Customer will use CDCM6208V1 on Pin-mode.

Spec is following.

・Input:37.125MHz/LVCMOS or Crystal

・Output:148.5MHz/LVPECL ×2ch

For example, Pin mode set "2-V1" and input 37.125MHz Crystal, is it OK?

(Datasheet is 25MHz Crystal)

In addition, is there careful point?

Best regards,

Satoshi

  • Hi Satoshi,

Using a 37.125 MHz reference for V1 pin mode 2 would not be valid as the VCO would be out of its operating region. Does your customer have any other available related frequencies to their desired output frequency?

Does the customer have specific jitter requirements? If the performance of the CDCE62002 is acceptable, the frequency plan is achievable. Otherwise, the CDCM6208 can be configured in the desired fashion over SPI or I2C.
