Hi Team,

Our customer is in their design using CDCM7005. We have question from customer if CDCM7005 VCXO_IN pin could accept LVDS signal. Is there any way to achive this requirement ?

I believe these pins needs to be PECL input. So, it would need interface conversion. As our customer is using LVCMOS ouput VCXO and LVDS driver(SN65LVDS1), would SN65LVP16 or SN65LVP18 best match to this application ?

Please let us know if there is better solution.

Hello Kawai-san,

the CDCM7005 VCXO input does accept very small swings down to 100mV differential.
If you can do AC coupling plus biasing you can connect LVDS directly to VCXO_IN.

Thank you for your reply. Could you please give us the recommended schematic to interface LVDS output to CDCM7005 VCXO_IN ?

Where can we find the VCXO_IN input specification, such like input differential voltage MIN 100mV and common mode input range ?

Hello Julian-san and support team,

Could you please also advise us how to interface single end LVCMOS signal to VCXO_IN, if this setup is possible ? It would be helpful if you could provide us the typical application schematic with my question above.

Our customer needs to fix their schematic by Wednesday, could you please provide us the information by 11/9 US time ?
