LMK04808B EVM - com. over parallel port / usb2uwire

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK04808, USB2ANY

Hello,

We just received the LMK04808BEVAL board. We ordered to test its feasibility in clocking/syncing multiple ADC07D1520 at 1.5 GHz in a large system based on a 100MHz system clock.

The 'quick start guide' is from 2011, and suggests the use of a USB2UWIRE-IFACE, which as far as I can tell no longer exists.  Parallel ports are rare if not non-existent on computers these days.  What is the cheapest option to connect to a computer, using USB or other contemporary interface?

  • Hi Eric,

Thanks for the interest in LMK04808 device. The EVM kits come with with a default parallel port interface cable. We are in the process of transitioning to using the USB2ANY. In the meantime, you can submit a request to clock_support@list.ti.com with the following information to obtain one.

    - Company name

    - End equipment / Application

    - Estimated production volume

    - Ship to Address

    Regards,
