Phase Detector for distance measurment

I am working on a project where I am measuring the distance between two objects. I plan to send a signal (sine wave) from one object to the other and measure the phase difference between that signal and a base signal. Based upon this phase difference I should be able to calculate the distance the signal traveled.

In order to do this I have found that I will need to measure the phase difference between a 3GHz, 300MHz, 30MHz, 3MHz, and 300KHz signal (Sine wave) to meet the accuracy and range requirements of my project.

I was wondering if there are any products that are capable of measuring the phase at such frequencies?

    To go up to 3 GHz, you probably need a mixer. Our highest running phase detector is for the LMX2582 PLL that goes up to 400 MHz, but this has an integrated VCO that you can not bypass.

    However, maybe you could use something like our LMX2485 that has a divider on front up the phase detector that runs well above 3 GHz.

    Another approach you might consider is using a ramping waveform such as can produced by the LMX2492. For this, you produce a wave that looks like a sawtooth (when viewed frequency vs. time). Then you mix the received signal with the signal you are sending and the frequency difference can be used to calculate the distance to the target object.
