LMK00334 questions

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK00334

Hola,

I have two questions about LMK00334 as below:

QUESTION-1:

CLKin0、CLKin1、XTAL input are selected by CLKin_SEL.

1) When select CLKLin0 as a input, CLKin0 = 100MHz and the CLKoutA0、CLKoutB0 = 100MHz?right?

2) When select CLKLin1 as a input, CLKin1 = 200MHz and the CLKoutA0、CLKoutB0 = 200MHz?right?

3) When select XTAL as a input, XTAL = 25MHz and the CLKoutA0、CLKoutB0 = 100MHz?right?

4) About CLKoutA0*, what does * mean?......a negative differential signal?

QUESTION-2:

Pin28 & 32 has no description in pin function table, is it correct for these two pin define?

  • Hey Jacky ,

will move your post into clocks forum.
  • Here are the answers:

    1) When select CLKLin0 as a input, CLKin0 = 100MHz and the CLKoutA0、CLKoutB0 = 100MHz?right?
    >> You're correct.

    2) When select CLKLin1 as a input, CLKin1 = 200MHz and the CLKoutA0、CLKoutB0 = 200MHz?right?
    >> You're correct.

    3) When select XTAL as a input, XTAL = 25MHz and the CLKoutA0、CLKoutB0 = 100MHz?right?
    >> No, all CLKout's will be 25 MHz (same as XTAL frequency).

    4) About CLKoutA0*, what does * mean?......a negative differential signal?
    >> You're correct. It's the inverted or complementary output of the differential pair.

Pin28 & 32 has no description in pin function table, is it correct for these two pin define?
    >> Yes, these are Vcc pins and showed be powered with 3.3V +/-5%.

  • Hola Alan,

Clear and helpful. Thank you very so much.

So if the X'TAL input is single end and the output will become to HCSL?right?
