Hi team,

would you please help to review the schematic of BQ32002 from my customer Perabytes? they have tested the circuit but they found the 1-second register didn't refresh. BTW, they have pull up reisitor on I2C interface on MCU side.

Hi Kevin,

BQ32002 does not require external crystal capacitance if the crystal falls within the recommended operating conditions.

We typically recommend at least 1uF bypass capacitor for VCC and a small bypass capacitance for Vback as well.

What do you mean by doesn't refresh? Does it stay at the same value? Have they verified this on an o-scope as well?
