CDCE62002 AUX_IN pin LVCMOS

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCE62002, CDCE62005

Hello:

The cdce62002's old data sheet (and demo board) allow the aux_in pin to be driven by an lvcmos signal instead of a crystal.

Around 2012, this information was removed from the data sheet.

I would like to drive the aux_in pin with a 10MHz lvcmos tcxo. The refin pins would be used for an optional customer input; if a customer connects a 10MHz source, the chip would switch to it.

Is this feasible, i.e., what problems might I encounter if I do this?

Also, the data sheet gives typical noise/jitter data for a 25MHz input; what performance can I expect with a 10MHz input? Any guidance would be appreciated.
