4-FSK with LMX2571 - additional question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMX2571

Hi,

We are contemplating use of the LMX2571 in a wireless microphone application in Europe. Your Youtube video:

was very helpful. Would it be possible to get the test code used to do the Wireless-Microphone example shown in the video? This would give our SW/FW guys a good starting point. A good app note describing the same would be another option if such a document exists.

Thanks,

Mark

  • Hi Mark,

We use Matlab to generate the code, we can provide the Matlab file, not sure if that works for you.

At the moment, we don't have an appnote on this. The procedure to generate the code is as follows:

    1. generate the serial digital audio data stream by an audio codec or a processor

    2. do a bit-to-symbol conversion, each symbol will represent one of the 4 FSK levels and each level is corresponding to the desired frequency deviation

    3. Over-sampling the symbols

    4. do pulse-shaping to the symbols

    5. convert each sample point information (freq deviation) to the number of steps required to be program to LMX2571 (equation 4 to 7 in the datasheet)

    6. Enable FSK mode in LMX2571 and program it either in FSK SPI FAST mode or FSK I2S mode

  • Noel,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we'd like to see the Matlab file if that offer still stands. Could you attach it in your reply or email it to mtucker@murata.com?

    Thanks,

    Mark
