LMX2492 TRIGx pin output functions

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMX2492

Hello,

I am evaluating the LMX2492 for a new design and am using T.I.'s  "TICS Pro" software to that end.

The intended use of the LMX2492 is to output a sequence of 3 ramps (chirps).

One of the functions that I would like to have is that the TRIG1 output pin indicates when ramp #1 is active, because I would use it to synchronize external circuits on the receiver side.

According to the TRIG1_MUX selector on the "User Controls" pane of the "TICS Pro" software, this seems to be feasible, because "Output RAMP1 Active" is one among the available 32 choices. See enclosed screenshot.

However, the LMX2492 datasheet tells a different story and says that the corresponding register value is "Reserved" (see enclosed datasheet page 23 excerpt).

Now which of the two corresponds to reality? I really do hope that "TICS Pro" software is right and that the function "Output RAMP1 Active" is really available.

If not, what other means would there be to provide a logic signal when ramp #1 is active?

Thank you for your assistance!
