[ TICS Pro ] Installation Error

[ TICS Pro ] Installation Error

Hi,

During installation of TICS pro software on Windows 7 32bit, following error message is pop up and installation was aborted.

Do you have any ideas of this error and solution?
Thanks,
Ken

  • Thanks for reporting this issue.

This is registering the ActiveX (COM) control object in case you want to use TICS Pro with automation.  It should not prevent normal usage, unless this is preventing the installer from running properly.  Does the install finish with this error?

This also appears to be caused by installing without .NET of appropriate version installed.  This should be a caught condition and cause install of .NET.  TICS Pro requires Microsoft .NET 4.5.1 or higher.  Can you confirm you show .NET 4.5.1 installed?  An easy way to check is go to uninstall program on windows and see if Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 is listed as I show below.

  • I have the same problem, same OS, and I'm running .Net 4.5.2.  It's like the install SW is hard coded to look for the 64 bit version when I have the 32 bit. (%pathname with Framework instead of Framework64)

  • Got the following error in Windows 7, 64-bit, .NET 4.5.1, with the latest 1.6.5 TICS Pro:

    TICS Pro.exe Warning: 0 : 09/18/2017 11:50:13
    Error while initializing Flex Page.
Possible Reasons: Input string was not in a correct format.
