LMX2492EVM Ramp Frequency range

Hi,

What is the expected output frequency range of the LMX2492EVM board?

The RFVC1843 VCO data sheet gives 9.8-11.3GHz (1.5GHZ range).  I seem to be able to get about 8.9-10.1GHz (1.2GHz range).

And why is there an offset between the measured output and the specified VCO range?

    Hi Jason,

    To get the VCO specified tuning range, the tuning voltage should be between 1.5V and 14.5V. With passive loop filter, LMX2492 can support tuning voltage between close to 0V to 5V. As such, your finding is correct.
