CDCE62002 / Register setting

Hi,

I received the following question from customer.

Is there setting sequence during the register 0,1 and 2?

Best Regards,
Kuramochi

  • I think you will want to program in numeric order. 0, 1, and 2.

Register 2 contains the PLLRESET bit. After programming PLL dividers, you will need to have the VCO calibrate. If you use the PLLRESET technique, then you must have the PLL dividers programmed properly before starting calibration. This may result in needing to program register 2 last.

Register 1 contains a SELVCO bit, you should select your VCO range before starting cal. This also has the PLL dividers.

Register 0 contains reference input select bits, for your VCO cal to work properly, you should have the proper input selected.
