LMX2592: Eval board and part does not lock at certain frequencies or at wrong frequencies

Part Number: LMX2592

I am using TICS Pro 1.4

I input 491.52MHz to the eval board and I am getting /16 of the VCO (431.25MHz) though according to the settings it should be /12 i.e 575MHz . I attached the settings as exported from TICS PRO. Any ideas of what is wrong?

Thanks

  • Dear Karoly,

thank you for your interest in LMX2592. I loaded your hex file and do not see anything obvious that is wrong. Do you consistently get this answer? Do you make sure every time you change the desired frequency you hit the FCAL_EN check box?

    Regards, Simon.

  • Karoly,

I tried your script and it locks to 575MHz normally. Can you try to start from the default mode, from TICS Pro go to "Default configurations" then click the first in the dropdown. See if you get 1.8GHz first, then load your script. If doesn't work, click RESET=1 then RESET=0 to soft reset the device and load your script.

    Regards,

    Brian Wang
