DS100BR410: Problems to drive Display Port video via two DS100BR410

Part Number: DS100BR410

Hello

I am trying to drive Display Port VIDEO from my driver to the target. Between the Driver and Recieder there is 2 meters Display Port Cable.

In order to improve the signal integrity i use two DS100BR410 components. One is used as Cable driver (locaterd close to the Driver) and the second is used as equalizer (located close to the target). The problem is

that in this configuration the receiver doesnt recognize proper video.

Each one of the DS100BR410 stand alone works fine, i mean:

If i drive Display port from my driver with the same cable to a monitor display and i can see video perfectly

If i drive Display Port to my target from PC i can see that the target recognize the video and presents it correctly.

My Question is:

How to configure both of the DS100BR410 (the one at the Driver side and the one at the Reciever side) in order to get good eye pattern and eventualy to see video from my targert

Regards,

Roey

  • Dear Team,
We will appreciate your advise on this matter.
    Best regards,

  • Roey,

Sorry for the delay.  The post was sent to the Clock and Timing Forum incorrectly.

This issue sounds like over-equalization.  I would set the DS100BR410 inputs connected to local transmitters to the minimum equalization setting.

I would also consider just connecting the DS100BR410 devices to receive the attenuated signals from the cable only.  There is no need to position a DS100BR410 device to re-drive Displayport signals received directly from a local Displayport Tx.

    Regards,

    Lee
