LMX2485E-EVAL: How do you know the registers have been loaded with USB-uwire

Part Number: LMX2485E-EVAL
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMX2485E, CODELOADER

Hi Sir,

I am using the TI LMX2485E and codeloader to program the registers in the LM2485E.

My setup is through USB-uwire interface. It has been updated the firmware, but I have a problem with loading the registers in the LMX2485E.

After I use the codeloader to configure the frequency and RF loop. I use Cntl-L to load the registers and there is no way to tell the registers have been loaded since I can see the frequency I programmed out of RFOUT.

Please advise me , any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Phil,
There is no readback on this part, but you can check between power up and powerdown states. Aside from the current difference, the DC bias level of the FinRF pin should be 1.6 V when powered up, 0 V when powered down. If the device is never programmed, then this voltage is indeterminate. Also, I think that the OSCin pin has a DC bias level of 1.6 V when powered up and 0 V when powered down.

  • Hi Dean,
    Thanks for the prompt reply.
If I find out the registers don't program as I plan, then what are the possible causes.
The uwire mux configuration will be the most possible culprit?

    Thanks,
