LMK04828: LMK04828 SDIO and Status_LD 1/2 for push-pull

Part Number: LMK04828

Hi Team,

SDIO and Status_LD 1/2 pins default setting is open drain, but customer want to use this pin to push-pull.
Does external pull-up/pull-down resistor require?
Or they can use these pin to push-pull without external pull-up/down resistor?
Customer worried interface communication error during register setting change to push-pull.

I think these is no issue wihtout external pull-up/down resistor, but need to confirm with you.
Thank you.

Best Regards,

Jade

  • Hello Jade,
when a pin is configured for "push-pull" it acts as LVCMOS output and no external resistor is required. The update from one output buffer type to the other happens after the SPI write is closed with the CS*.
Actually the customer can test on the Status_LD pin on the LMK04828EVM. It does not have a pull-up by default and uses the push-pull drivers.

    Best regards,
    Patrick
