TLC2934: Datasheet question

Part Number: TLC2934

Hello,

A have a question with th TLC2934 datasheet :

Page3 of the datasheet it is written :

"NOTES: 6. Current into VCO VDD, when VCO INHIBIT = VDD, PFD is inhibited."

whearas page 2 it is written :

"VCO output terminal. When VCO INHIBIT = high, VCO OUT is low."

It seems to me that the NOTE 6 should be  "Current into VCO VDD, when VCO INHIBIT = VDD, VCO is inhibited"

Am I wrong ?

Thank you in advance.v

  • Hi Farag,

You are correct that VCO is inhibited when VCO INHIBIT = VDD. The note is just stating the test conditions under which the VCO supply current (inhibit) was measured. The PFD is inhibited when measuring the VCO supply current so that it is not factored into the current draw.

Similarly, on page 4, when testing the PFD supply current, the VCO OUT is inhibited.

    Regards,
