Hi :

What is the SPI read back? Does it mean reading specific register value?

Assume I assign TRIG1_MUX as "output readback".  During LE=low duration, I make DATA's R/W=1, follow A14~A0 address, don't care D7~D0. Then I can read data on TRIG1 pin during clock at D7~D0, is that right?

By the way, what does CE work? if CE=low, shut down all I/Os including SPI, correct?

    SPI read back allows you to read a register on the LMX2492. Your procedure is correct. You can take a look at the LMX2491 data sheet, which describes read back in more detail though it is a different part. I also asked the same question last week on this forum so you can dig up TI's response. You need to configure the desired MUX line register for read back first.
