CDCLVP1204: The Vth of LVCMOS input

Part Number: CDCLVP1204
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCV304,

Hi Team,,

My customer design CDCLVP1204 with single end LVCMOS input as below circuit. The INP0 connects with LVCOMS input(from CDCV304) and INNO connects with VAC_REF.

Currently,the VIH=2.3V, VIL=1.3V,so the Vth at INP0 pin is 1.8V,but the Vth at INN0 pin is 2.03V(from VAC_REF).

Is there any issue if the Vth are different in INN0 and INP0?

Best Regards,

Nick Dai

  • Hi Nick,

The current design configuration will work, but since the Vth at INN0 is set higher than the midpoint of the input clock, there may be some duty cycle distortion depending on the input clock waveform, which could lead to lower performance. Ideally, the Vth voltage at INN0 should be set to the midpoint of the input clock (in this case, 1.8V). You could use a resistor divider to generate 1.8V from VAC_REF.

    Regards,
