LMK03328: Using CodeLoader4 or TICS Pro through "DPS-DONGLE-EVM"

Part Number: LMK03328
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY, , DPS-DONGLE-EVM

Hello Team,

Please allow me to ask you how to interface from PC to LMK03328, using DPS-DONGLE-EVM instead of USB2ANY.

The background I am asking this question is that because USB2ANY is not sold, but DPS-DONGLE-EVM could be purchased.

DPS-DONGLE-EVM is which used to interface TI Repeater/Retimer devices.

I believe the internal design is almost the same for these two boards. I've added pull up resistors to SDA/SCL, however, I am still failing to communicate to LMK03328.

How can I achieve this ?

I've confirmed successful communication using USB2ANY on my board.

Best Regards,

Kawai

  • Hi Kawai,

The programming on the microcontroller is different between the DPS-DONGLE-EVM and the USB2ANY and they are not compatible.

If you need to request a USB2ANY to interface with an LMK03328 that has been integrated into a system board, please send an email to clock_support@list.ti.com and provide the following information.
    - Application (ex. wireless infrastructure, test/measurement)
    - End equipment (ex. base-station outdoor unit, spectrum analyzer)
    - Is this potentially used for military applications (Y/N)
    - Estimated production volume

  • Hi Tim-san,

    Thanks for your support.

I just wanted to make sure weather DPS-DONGLE-EVM could be used or not, as our customer had already purchased from TI.

We will hand our USB2ANY so that they can use Codeloader4 on their own designed board.

    Best Regards,
    Kawai
