LMK03328: How to configure the un-used reference input

Part Number: LMK03328

Hi Team,

Please advise me on a question on a question, “how un-used reference input pins are configured?”

The datasheet states that “the non-driven input pin should be pulled-down to ground”.
Does it mean that both positive and negative reference input should be pulled down to GND or
Either of the differential input must be pulled low?

  • Hi Mita-san,

That statement only applies for LVCMOS inputs. The datasheet states, "For LVCMOS input, the non-driven input pin should be pulled-down to
    ground."

For unused differential inputs, the unused input can be left floating since there is internal termination. Also, it is recommended to disable the Primary / Secondary input buffer by setting PRIBUFSEL / SECBUFSEL = 11b. This will also save about 10 mA current (per buffer).

    Thank you for the answer.
