LMK03318: Device Marking

Part Number: LMK03318

Support Path: /Product/Production, ordering, and quality/

There is no sample device marking for the RHS (WQFN-48) on the TI Web.  The only device marking information is that the device will be marked with "K03318A" but there is no other indication of how date code or other marking will appear on the device.

  • Hi Stu,

Yes, that is intentional. The lot code is not intended to be deciphered by customers and is only used for tracking in case of debug. Did you have a question regarding its format?

    Regards,
    -Tim
  • Tim, Surely this is not true. I have worked at TI for 29 years and most of our parts have a clear example of how we mark them, including where on the part the device number appears and how the date code shows up (I didn't say anything about lot code). We recently suggested to the customer that they note the date code on top of our devices, and when they asked me what it normally looked like, I couldn't find a published example of how current production marking looks. Do I need to send you examples from TI.com of how other product groups do this?  There is a whole section for various package types.  RHS isn't listed.

  • Hi Stu,

None of the clocking devices appear to have this info. Can you send me the TI.com example of the format you are looking for so that I can have RHS added?

    Regards,
    -Tim
