TPL5111: retrigger function

Hello,
customer is searching for one-time function which is retriggerable. He wants to generate a 7s puls. Does the TPL5111 have this function? Currently he uses LTC6993. He needs 3% tolerance and can't use a MCU for it.

Hi Holger,

The TPL5111 one-shot mode is retriggerable using the DELAY/M_DRV pin. 7 seconds can be generated and the typical timer accuracy is 1%.

Hello Tim,
I read the chapter 7.5.2. Retriggering is not possible when "If DRVn is already HIGH the manual Power ON is ignored.". But this needs the customer.

Hi Holger,

You are correct- we do not have a device that supports this use case. If a timer cycle has already been triggered and DELAY/M_DRV has gone low, it is not possible to retrigger/extend it before the end of the cycle by pulling DELAY/M_DRV high again. The only way to extend a cycle is to keep holding DELAY/M_DRV, which can extend the cycle indefinitely.
