LMK00334: LMK00334

Part Number: LMK00334

Hi,

My customer is using the REFout LVCMOS output to provide a 100MHz clock input to a processor.

Asking if there is a limit to the capacitive loading of the REFout signal before it no longer works.

Thanks

Jani

  • Hi Jani,
With Cap load incleasing, a square wave would become a triangular wave, and amplitude also would become smaller and smaller. So "no longer works" depends on processor's requirements, like Vih, and Vil spec. You could simulate LMK00334 & processor IBIS models to feel the changes. Normally, 10pF, 20pF should be no problem.

    Regards,
