Hello Team,

is it necessary to program all registers from 0 to R112?

I don't understand page 36, data sheet:
7.6 Register Maps and Descriptions
Note that for registers that have numbers, but defined programmable bits, it is necessary to program these
values just as shown in the register map. Registers must be programmed from highest to lowest (R0 Last)

Do I have to program also those register which have only numbers in like e.g. R2, R3, R4, etc.?
Or is it ok to program only the registers listed from page 42 to 53?

Dear Hans,

good question. The answer is yes. The POR value is NOT necessary the default recomended value. Having said that a register used for ramping for example may be slipped if ramping is not used.

Hi Simon.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but does Ti provide a download link to obtain the register values? I'm a but concerned I will make a mistake when reading them off the datasheet.

Dear Variac,

no problem, this is a good hijack! Download from Ti.com TiCS PRO and you can export from the hex format text file of the desired configuration.
