LMX2492EVM: R56 to R46 programming

Part Number: LMX2492EVM

Dear Support,

The LMX2492EVM does not  Load into, or Read from the registers R56 to R46. does it harm the the LMX or change the performance if we write zero to the Registers R46 TO R56.

Registers R16 to R3   are also reserved but those are loaded and read-out with the TICs PRO program.

Thanks and Kind Regards

Bert

  • Bert,

In general, you can not assume that just because you don't write a register, it is all 0's.

For this case, registers R46 to R56 are used to set internal LDO voltages, and you can't assume that all 0's is the correct state.

I don't know the correct states, but if you read them all back as all 0's after toggling SWRST, then you can write your 0's, otherwise for sure no.

R13 to R3 are pure readback bits, so you might get away writing 0's to this.  I don't think that R14 and R15 serve any function, but I am not totally sure.

    Regards,

    Dean

  • Hi Dean,

Thanks for the info., so it is better to not write at all to R46 to R56.

    Best Regards
