Hello,
I use the LMX2492EVM and TICS PRO to generate a chirp composed by two ramps :
I use the TRIG1 pin to output RAMP0 state (+V active; 0V inactive).
As expected, the TRIG1 pin generate +V during 100 us and then 0V during the next 600 us.
But when i check the DLY function on RAMP1, i don't have expected ramp profil on TRIG1 pin : +V during 100 us and then 0V during the next 1,2 ms.
Can somebody could explain me this function DLY ?
Thank you in advance,
Regards,
Guillaume Motyl
Guillaume,
On TICSPro, you can mouse over any bit and it will tell you the function in content window in the lower left corner.
In the case of this bit, it essentially doubles teh length of the ramp. What it is doing is if this bit is checked, then the ramp is clocked every two phase detector cycles instead of every phase detector cycles. It is useful in cases where the RAMP_LEN word is not long enough.

Dean
