LMK03328: Reference Clock Input and LVPECL output

Part Number: LMK03328

  1. We have a 10MHz OCXO that output sinewave. Can this connect AC coupled to the primary reference clock input?
  2. The output clock will be AC coupled LVPECL, but the datasheet does not indicate this differential output need 150 ohm resistors from each output (_P and _N) to GND ( to complete the emitter current path). Are these resistors already inside when the output is specified as AC coupled LVPECL?

Thanks,

Laurie

  • Hi Laurie,

Q1. We have a 10MHz OCXO that output sinewave. Can this connect AC coupled to the primary reference clock input?

    A1. Yes

Q2. The output clock will be AC coupled LVPECL, but the datasheet does not indicate this differential output need 150 ohm resistors from each output (_P and _N) to GND ( to complete the emitter current path). Are these resistors already inside when the output is specified as AC coupled LVPECL?

A2. No, the 150 ohm termination resistors are not integrated for LVPECL.

    Kind regards,
    Lane
