LMX2594: RFoutB bias

Part Number: LMX2594

Hi, in my application I only need one output (RFoutA) and will disable the second output. Is it possible to remove the bias circuit on port B if that amplifier is disabled, and just leave the pins open?

I am working on a dual-layer board so any space I can gain helps me in the layout work.

Thanks!

  • Bert,

Yes.  If you do not need the second output, then don't waste precious real estate on the board to route it.  For RFoutA, it is critical to get the pull-up as close to the device as possible, so if not routing unneeded features helps, then by all means do this.
