LMK00301: Osc 100MHz input CLK_INP/N

Hi there:

I'd like to check if using Osc to generate the 100MHz signal which could input to the CLKin 0/1 or not? It since the crystal input (OSin could accept 10~40MHz only)

If it's not workable, what's suggestion to customer ?

Hi Kay,

Yes, CLKin0/1 and OSCin pin support 100MHz XO. Please refer to the application section of the datasheet for the details.

Hi Kay,
Because you have a HCSL output XO, it is better to AC couple "CLKREF_100_L_N" &"CLKREF_100_L_P" to CLKin0 or CLKin1.
It is recommended to use either universal input (CLKinX) since it offers higher operating frequency, better common mode and power supply noise rejection, and greater performance over supply voltage and temperature variations.
