I've been testing with the LMX2492EVM evaluation board and TICS Pro, I'm trying to set up a continuous wave signal at 9.6 GHz. I can get the evaluation board working by using the 'Default Configuration - 2016-6-17' settings, I can see the ramped signal at the tune pin of the VCO and the output frequency from the RFOUT pin on a spectrum analyser.
Whether I set the RAMP_EN pin low or high on the 'User Controls' page it makes no difference however, why is this? When I change other settings, such as changing the CPPOL setting from positive to negative, I can see the effect of this, i.e. VCO output frequency changes to fixed frequency signal of approximately 9.1 GHz.
