CDCM6208: Vibration in the rising edge of the reset signal

Part Number: CDCM6208

Hi team,

My customer detect the vibration in the rising edge of the RESET pin when the DVDD voltage is rising during the power up.(see below)

The purple one is the DVDD 3.3V, and the yellow one is the signal in reset pin.

Can you help to analyze what may be the cause of the vibration?

Lacey

Thanks a lot!

  • Hi Lacey,

Based on the waveform it appears that the RESET signal is driven to a voltage higher than DVDD, but the internal pullup is limiting the voltage on RESETn pin because of the internal pullup to DVDD.

The customer is violating the V_IH specification when driving the RESETn input to a potential higher than DVDD (see datasheet table 6.3). Device operation is not guaranteed if the recommended operationg conditions are exceeded. I recommend to delay the RESETn signal.

    Kind regards,
    Lane
