CDCI6214: LVPECL for 156.25MHz

Part Number: CDCI6214

Hello

Below is some question about CDCI6214.

  1. Does CDCI6214 support 156,25MHZ LVPECL format exactly? Has any jitter performance for 156,25MHZ LVPECL?

 2. Could internal EEPROM pre-burning parameters into it? Could TI can help pre-programming for customer before shipment to customer? Or this portion needs to programming parameters while get goods by customer selves.

BR

Patrick

  • Hi Patrick,

Unlike LVDS, LVPECL does not have an industrial standard specification. As such, the definition of LVPECL may vary from vendor to vendor.
Furthermore, when you AC-couple a clock signal, the name of the signal is not important anymore, thing that matter is the signal swing. A higher signal swing will in general provide higher slew rate, which will favor ADC.
We can program the EEPROM in production before shipping to customers, please raise this request to our sales person.
  • Hello Noel

Do you have any EEPROM sample file to provide? Maybe we will find 3rd party to program EEPROM to customer and 3rd party request CDCI6214 sample file or sample code. Thank you.

  • Hello Noel

Has any update for above question? Thank you.

  • Hi Patrick,

My colleague will generate an example code shortly. Stay tuned.
  • Hi Patrick,

Attached is a sample EEPROM image for CDCI6214. Please change the file extension from *.txt to *.epr (E2E does not allow some file extensions to be uploaded).

    Kind regards,
    Lane
