LMX2595: programming the chip

Part Number: LMX2595
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMX2594

In my application, I need a fixed frequency and a variable frequency to be programmed thru a micro controller.

Is there any source code available to a user, to be modified to fit his or her requirement?

  • Shankar,

We do not have raw source code that we can share, but you might find TICSPro a good starting point.
    1. If you set up the device with TICSPro, you can export the register values.
    2. If you are interested in the code for the GUI in TICSPro, it is written in Iron Python and is in stalled with TICSPRO. For instance, if you go to the TICSPro install directory and then go to configurations-> devices-> LMX2594, you can find the LMX2594.py file that has this code.

  • I have the same need.  With over 100 registers (although many seem fixed) some programing assistance would be very helpful.

I  looked in the TICSPro installation directory but I do not see a configuration folder.  Searching for *.py produced no results.

Is there another reference that you can provide?

    Thank you,

    Tom

  • Hi Tom,

Please try the path again: TICS Pro\Configurations\Devices\, or try installing Ticspro again. I'm sure that there are python codes under the path.

If you are looking for codes for 2594/2595, you can find them here: LMX2595.zip

  • Keep you posted
  • I have installed: TICS Pro Install, v1.6.8, 2018-08-10.exe on two different Windows 7 machines.
There is no Configurations directory under C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TICS Pro on either machine.

However I was able to open the link provided and see the .py files.

    Thank you,
    Tom
